4 Simple Tips To Cultivate a Strong Immune System

Now more than ever, we need to keep our mind, body, and spirit strong and healthy. We are in unprecedented times and are all under tremendous amounts of stress (from all sorts of angles). And if you’ve read any of my posts, you know I’m always talking about how stress weakens our immunity.

So, I’m gonna give you 4 simple tips on how to build your immunity and create a healthy resilient mind and body. And honestly, there a no valid excuses. Our health truly is our greatest commodity, gift, and super-power. Do what you need to do in order to create the strongest, healthiest, most peaceful version of yourself.

MEDITATION

Start a daily meditation practice. Even just 5 minutes two times a day (to start ), can have an incredible impact on stress, mental health, and immunity.

MOVE

The lymphatic system (our immunity machine) doesn’t have a pump like the cardiovascular system does. Not only that, a huge part of the system has to work against gravity moving up toward the heart. And guess what facilitates and ‘pumps’ this system? MOVEMENT! I don’t care if it’s a walk, bike, HIIT class, or Yoga but please, move your body for at least 30 minutes a day.

NUTRITION

When we’re super stressed and anxious, the stressor hormones cause the body to be more acidic. And what happens in an acidic environment? Inflammation and disease. So make sure you’re eating organic non-gmo (whenever possible), a TON of greens and fresh veggies, good fats, and healthy protein. And cut out sugar!

WATER

Most of us are dehydrated (even if you think you’re not). Plus, you can do all the healthy eating, supplementation, and exercise you want, but if you’re not drinking enough water, all those toxins just circulate and stay in the body. We need to drink enough water so we excrete toxins. Not to mention all the other benefits of staying hydrated.

That’s it! Four simple life-style habits you can start today to make sure you’re immune system, mind, and body are strong, healthy, and can take on anything.
